Note: if you take the second exit from the second roundabout - leading to a third roundabout - you will be able to reach further ground level and multi storey car parking.
A map of the area can be found here.
There is a rather unreliable service between Oxford and Cambridge which calls at High Wycombe. It is allegedly hourly bus can get caught up in Oxford or M25 traffic. (The bus may vary as to which bay it departs from)
There is a bus service between Reading and High Wycombe every half hour - the 328 or 329. The journey takes about ninety minutes. Check the time of the last bus - it is 18:15.
Having got off the bus, turn right and walk around the bus station to a pedestrian back exit (if you find yourself in the shopping center or Tescos, you are in the wrong place). As you step up from this exit the Owen Harris Building will be straight ahead of you - a yellowish brick building with a blue roof. Turn left along the road (which is one way) and cross until you meet a single metal bar gateway. Cut through here (down a slight slope) and cut between the buildings (one of them is some kind of design building). Ahead of you there should be a set of steps which will take you past the Red Shed (a large red building, if not to say yer actual shed) to the Owen Harris Building. We are likely to be on the upper ground floor of this building.
High Wycombe station is on the Chilterns Line between Marylebone (Bakerloo Line) and Bichester North/Banbury/Leamington Spa/Warwick/Birmingham Snow Hill. In addition, some of the trains for Aylesbury go via High Wycombe.
If you are coming from the Midlands or the North into Birmingham New Street it is quickest to walk or take a taxi to Moor Street. Alternatively, if your train calls at Solihull, Leamington Spa or Banbury you can change there.
It is arguably as quick to walk from the station to the college as getting a taxi. It should only take about ten minutes. If you choose to walk exit the station at platform one / two (if you come in from the north, you will arrive on platform three). Go through the station entrance lobby and keep going until you hit a steep hill; walk down the hill, crossing as convenient. At the bottom of the hill is a corner with the library and various estate agents. Turn right at this junction and walk along to the pedestrianised zone. (On a Saturday there will be a market.) Turn left at the McDonalds/HSBC and walk through to where there is a noodle bar and a pub, and an all you can eat Chinese restaurant. Straight ahead of you there will be a tunnel under a road. Go through the tunnel, admiring the swans on the wall, and cross a path into the car park. You are now on the BCUC campus.
There are small but accurate signs which will have "Owen Harris building" on them. Bear right and walk anticlockwise around the building, past The Venue / Students' Union (this will be on your left) until you find a gap between this building (which will be a library at this point) and the next (some kind of design building). You should see a set of steps which will take you past the red shed (a large red building) to the Owen Harris Building. We are likely to be on the upper ground floor of this building.
